Yo-Yo Ma is an exceptionally distinguished French-American cellist. Born in Paris to Chinese parents and raised in New York City, he was a child prodigy who began performing at age five. Over a career spanning decades, he has recorded seventy-five albums, earned fifteen Grammy Awards, and influenced American culture through high-profile performances, including the 2009 presidential inauguration.
