PLG Arts presents Grammy-nominated ensemble Innov Gnawa at Empire Stage as part of the second annual Brooklyn Plays Brooklyn fall concert series. Led by Maalem Hassan Benjaafar, the group delivers traditional Moroccan healing trance music and Sufi blues featuring guembri, tbul drums, and rhythmic call-and-response with qraqeb castanets.
