Presented by Belongó, GRAMMY Award-winning pianist, composer, and bandleader Arturo O’Farrill leads the 18-piece Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra. Continuing their 29 year-long weekly NYC residency, the band performs a broad spectrum of repertoire from celebrated Latin classics to original compositions and contemporary works by some of the most impactful musicians in the city. Arturo O’Farrill is a Mexican American pianist and composer who has become a prominent figure in modern music. As the leader of the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra and founder of Belongó, he focuses on cultural dialogue and social justice through performance. With multiple GRAMMY awards to his name, O’Farrill is known for blending Latin rhythms with modern jazz and has collaborated with legendary artists like Tito Puente and Wynton Marsalis.
