A nostalgic, underground baroque night.
Bagpiper Marieke Van Ransbeeck and lutenist Adriaan Lauwers present a unique program where Baroque and folk music intersect. Performed in the historic setting above De Waag, the concert features French Baroque music alongside traditional melodies from Belgium and Scandinavia. Marieke van Ransbeeck is a versatile bagpiper known for her work in both folk and early music, having collaborated with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. Adriaan Lauwers is a lutenist and theorbist who specializes in 17th-century improvisation and has performed at major venues like BOZAR and Philharmonie Luxembourg.
