Nicola Benedetti Plays Mendelssohn
Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti joins her frequent collaborator and Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for an all-Mendelssohn program. The evening features Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, known for its melodic invention and lyricism, alongside the Third Symphony, which was inspired by the composer's travels through the rugged landscapes of Scotland. The concert opens with the suspended stillness of Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, inspired by Goethe.
