Environments for Dreaming, Sound and Rest is a live, solo, un-amplified acoustic set played entirely on the ground, featuring unusual combinations of instruments from around the world. The session begins with a brief discussion about lucid dreaming, followed by a short, optional breathing exercise. As the session progresses, the focus shifts to music and storytelling designed to allow the body and nervous system to relax and reset. Rooted in both ancient and modern musical traditions, each set is unique and tailored to the venue. Sumeet Banerji is a lifelong student of sound, posture, and dreaming based in San Francisco, continuing the teachings of his grandmother Sushri Shanti Banerji in the contexts of sleep, meditation, and subconscious exploration.
