Een underground, rauwe experimentalavond.
Sam Newsome, Mandible Trio, and Talibam! with DoYeon Kim perform creative improvisation and experimental music. Tickets on Mood.
An evening of experimental music and creative improvisation presented by Striped Light in Long Island City. Soprano saxophonist and sound conceptualist Sam Newsome explores sound-centered improvisation using extended techniques and unconventional acoustic sound makers. Mandible Trio, a project led by Queens-based composer and violist Jessica Pavone alongside instrument builder Webb Crawford and bassist Nick Joz, navigates the space between structured composition and open-ended exploration. The night also features a collaborative set uniting acclaimed gayageum player DoYeon Kim with the longstanding avant-garde duo Talibam! (Kevin Shea and Matthew Mottel).
