Presence of Attention: Seoul Psychedelia with John Hwang
A nostalgic, underground psychedelic rock night.
In the late 1960s and early '70s, Seoul was one of the most exciting places in the world to hear music, centered around the godfather of Korean rock, Shin Joong Hyun. This session brings that rare psych, funk, and folk sound back to life on vinyl, complete with the history behind each record. Presented by New York-based music curator John Hwang, known for live listening sessions that treat deep listening as a practice.
