The Trio Orleani project imagines a scenario where in 1938 Louis Armstrong, Freddie Green, and Charlie Christian visited Greece, encountered the music of Markos Vamvakaris and Vassilis Tsitsanis, and, encouraged by Manolis Chiotis, started playing as a trio in traditional tavernas and tekes. Thus, according to the ensemble's narrative, the tradition of Trio Orleani was born. The group takes listeners on a musical journey through traditional New Orleans jazz.
