Exploring the legacy of postwar German jazz from a contemporary perspective, the Vincent Meissner Trio presents a concert that reimagines the work of jazz pianist Joachim Kühn. Rather than a traditional tribute, the performance serves as a musical dialogue where Kühn's compositions are developed and reinterpreted by a new generation of musicians. Leipzig pianist Vincent Meissner is a prominent figure in the young German jazz scene, recognized for his albums "Bewegtes Feld," "Wille," and "Eigengrau." Alongside Josef Zeimetz on bass and Henri Reichmann on drums, the trio builds a bridge between the pioneers of the 1950s-70s and modern jazz evolution.
The concert takes place on October 2, 2026, at studiobörne 45 located at Börnestraße 43 in Berlin-Pankow.
The Vincent Meissner Trio is performing, featuring Vincent Meissner on piano, Josef Zeimetz on bass, and Henri Reichmann on drums.
