The Rite of Spring / Duke Bluebeard's Castle
A nostalgic opera night.
A double-bill concert performance featuring Stravinsky's revolutionary Le Sacre du printemps (The Rite of Spring) alongside Bartók's psychological opera Duke Bluebeard's Castle. The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, led by conductor Jakub Hrůša, performs these two monumental works of the 20th century. The performance features bass Christian Van Horn and mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča in the lead roles of Bartók's opera.
