The Strand International Piano Series returns for its fifth year at the historic Baroque church of St Mary le Strand. This edition celebrates the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's death with a focus on his piano sonatas alongside works by Chopin, presented in an intimate candlelit setting. Pianist Matthew McLachlan performs Beethoven's Sonata No. 16 in G major and Sonata No. 24 in F-sharp major, paired with Chopin's Scherzo No. 2 and Ballade No. 1.
