Collegium Vocale Gent voert Bachs Hohe Messe uit in De Doelen met historische uitvoeringspraktijk. Tickets op Mood.
Collegium Vocale Gent and conductor Philippe Herreweghe perform Bach's Hohe Messe, one of the most impressive and versatile works in the choral repertoire. Bach combined various styles and compositions into a grand whole, where humble prayer and exuberant praise alternate. With characteristic clarity and attention to text and balance, the ensemble brings this music to life with a rare transparency, supported by soloists and a choir that make the spiritual and musical richness of this masterpiece palpable.
