Modern English provide the signature sounds of the New Wave era, blending energetic performances with heavily layered soundscapes and jagged hooks. Known for their orchestral guitar textures and driving, aggressive bass lines reminiscent of Joy Division, the band incorporates synthesizers to create both atmospheric moods and catchy pop leads. Fronted by Robbie Grey, their live shows capture the stylish 80s aesthetic and often feature vibrant light displays, turning venues into high-energy parties with classics like 'I Melt With You' and material from their 'After the Snow' album.
