A nostalgic, gritty soundtrack night.
A screening of John Carpenter's 1982 science fiction horror classic. The film follows a group of American scientists at a remote Antarctic research station who encounter an ancient alien life form capable of perfectly mimicking any living creature. As the creature infiltrates their group, the scientists are plunged into a nightmare of mutual paranoia and isolation. Renowned for its groundbreaking practical makeup effects, the film features a chilling atmosphere heightened by a soundtrack from legendary composer Ennio Morricone alongside Carpenter's own signature synthesizer work.
The film will be shown at LAB111, located at Arie Biemondstraat 111, 1054 NZ Amsterdam.
