Checkmate Sessions
A danceable, queer techno night.
Checkmate Sessions brengt schaken en techno samen in Q-Factory met open borden, hardgroove sets en gratis toegang. Tickets op Mood.
Stichting Amsterdam Chess Open brings you Checkmate Sessions, a community event uniting chess and techno. Ready-to-play boards are spread across the Q-Factory Café while the dancefloor opens up in front of the DJs playing everything from hip hop to hardgroove. Come for the music, stay for the game. No prior experience is needed, whether you want to pull up at a board, watch a game over a drink, or simply enjoy the sets on the dancefloor. This is a queer-safe event upholding a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination, harassment, and violence. Admission is free, but donations are welcome via on-site QR codes or optional presale tickets to support the DJs and materials.
