Zubin Mehta and Pinchas Zukerman perform Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 and Dvořák's Symphony No. 7 with the Berliner Philharmoniker. Lineup on Mood.
Antonín Dvořák gained fame for the folkloric Bohemian echoes in his music. With his Seventh Symphony, he showed a completely different side: none of his previous symphonies had been as dark, melancholic, and defiant as this one. In contrast, Max Bruch's First Violin Concerto, his most famous work, captivates with enchantingly intimate melodies and elegant virtuosity. The solo part is interpreted by Pinchas Zukerman, who, like conductor Zubin Mehta, has been associated with the Berliner Philharmoniker for decades. The evening opens with Mozart's lively overture to the opera Le nozze di Figaro.
The performance features the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Zubin Mehta, with Pinchas Zukerman as the violin soloist.
The program includes Mozart's overture to The Marriage of Figaro, Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1, and Dvorak's Symphony No. 7.
The concert is held at the Kammermusiksaal, located at Herbert-von-Karajan-Straße 1 in Berlin. Tickets on Mood.
