Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson joins conductor Edward Gardner and the London Philharmonic Orchestra for a program featuring the world premiere of a new piano concerto by Mark Simpson. The performance also includes Dorothy Howell's sensuous tone poem Lamia and Igor Stravinsky's magical fairytale ballet suite, The Firebird, a story of love, darkness, and light.
