Assucena brings contemporary Brazilian popular music and songs from her debut solo album Lusco-Fusco to Lisbon. Tickets on Mood.
Assucena brings a powerful voice of contemporary Brazilian popular music to Portugal, presenting a performance that spans diverse sounds and aesthetics from Brazil. Hailing from the backwoods of Bahia, the singer and songwriter builds her artistic path on influences from Bahian music, especially Tropicalism, and various strands of MPB. Following six years as one of the founders of As Bahias e a Cozinha Mineira, she launched her solo career in 2021. In her debut solo album Lusco-Fusco, she explores transitions between light and shadow, merging tradition with contemporary flair across samba, rock, blues, baião, pop, and arrocha.
