AJ Lee and Blue Summit are a prominent bluegrass group from California’s Bay Area. The band consists of Sullivan Tuttle and Scott Gates on acoustic guitars, AJ Lee on mandolin and vocals, Jan Purat on fiddle, and Chad Bowen on upright bass. Their music blends bluegrass with elements of country, soul, swing, rock, and jam music. Their second full-length album, City of Glass, showcases a soulful and gritty Americana sound that moves beyond traditional string band expectations while remaining rooted in their Californian folk origins.
