A queer, fast-paced riot grrrl night.
The political art collective presents their theatrical performance based on Masha Alyokhina's book, blending live music, video, and protest. Tickets on Mood.
The legendary feminist and political art collective Pussy Riot brings the award-winning 'Riot Days' to Athens. Based on the book by founding member Maria 'Masha' Alyokhina, the performance blends live music, spoken word, video, and electronic elements to recount the group's history—from their 2012 protest in Moscow to their subsequent trials and imprisonment. Since its 2017 premiere, the project has evolved into a living document of resistance, now incorporating themes such as the invasion of Ukraine and the defense of LGBTQ+ rights. Part concert, part theatrical manifesto, it offers a raw and deeply human exploration of freedom and the cost of defiance.
It is a blend of live music, spoken word, and video projections that chronicles the group's history of political activism.
Tickets on Mood.
The event is held at Gazarte, located in the Gazi district at Voutadon 34, Athens.
