Stravinsky and Prokofiev with the Oslo Philharmonic
Conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and the Oslo Philharmonic join forces with violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja for Stravinsky’s technically demanding Violin Concerto. The program also features excerpts from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, bringing the story of the warring families and lovers to life through music. The evening opens with Øyvind Torvund’s symphonic poem Forest Morning, a work for orchestra and electronics that explores the transition from idyllic nature to the bustle of urban life.
