Dedicated to uplifting overlooked contributors to American musical history, Giddens explores everything from folk and blues to jazz, country, and classical compositions. Her third solo studio album, You're The One, features a broader sonic palette produced by Jack Splash, bringing her original songwriting to life with electric and upright bass, conga, accordions, a Western string section, and a full horn ensemble.
