To mark the launch of Earth Rising: Messages from the Pale Blue Dot Volume II, Artangel is holding a special performance with Volume II artists this autumn. Nitin Sawhney presents a new work unlike any he has created before. Staged in Hackney's Round Chapel, it invites audiences into an unusually close encounter with one of Britain's most distinctive creative voices. Accompanied by Aref Durvesh, Eos Counsell, Shapla Salique, Ashwin Srinivasan, YVA, plus a string sextet, Nitin Sawhney will present the title piece and then develop the evening's performance with improvised spoken word and further musical performances from his extensive catalogue.
