Marking 500 years since the Battle of Mohács, Tarsoly Band joins folk vocalist Ákos Gubinecz to recount this pivotal moment in Hungarian history through authentic folk traditions. The performance unfolds as a three-movement journey moving from years of peace through the devastation of battle to emerging hope. Utilizing vocals, koboz, violins, viola, and double bass, the ensemble presents traditional melodies gathered from across the Carpathian Basin, including Transylvania, Moldavia, and Upper Hungary.
