Critical listening session featuring Scanner presenting the 2017 album Fibolae with a response from Tim Rutherford-Johnson. Tickets on Mood.
Robin Rimbaud, known as Scanner, has been a fixture of British electronic music since the early 1990s. As part of Verdurin’s new series of critical listening sessions, Room Tone, a presentation of Rimbaud’s work invites a response from music writer Tim Rutherford-Johnson, focusing particularly on Rimbaud’s 2017 album Fibolae. Room Tone is a series of public critical listening sessions where each event presents a recent musical work in the presence of the artist, accompanied by a critical response and audience discussion. Room Tone is convened by John-Robin Bold and produced with support from the Hinrichsen Foundation.
