Liszt Hungarian Fantasy: Hommage á Cziffra
A celebration of Hungarian folk music and romanticism featuring the works of Franz Liszt, Zoltán Kodály, and Béla Bartók. The concert highlights the passionate spirit and untamed rhythms of the Hungarian homeland, from Kodály’s musical fairytales to Bartók’s celebratory dances. Soloist János Balázs joins the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Associate Conductor Emilia Hoving to perform Liszt’s demanding piano masterpieces, honoring the legacy of the great Georges Cziffra.
