Electric Voice Theatre presents a musical celebration honouring Kathleen Lonsdale, pioneering crystallographer, UCL's first female professor, pacifist, and prison reformer. Performed alongside UC8 and the Clerkenwell Community Choir, the programme traverses Irish folk songs, music-hall tunes, anthems, and ethical hymns. The repertoire spotlights compositions by Judith Weir, Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Elizabeth Maconchy, Shena Fraser, Clara Novello Davies, Eliza Flower, and Josephine Troup. The concert is followed by a discussion on Lonsdale’s legacy with historian Dr Patricia Fara and contemporary UCL women scientists.
