A nostalgic, underground celtic night.
A nostalgic musical farewell, Richard Strauss’s Four Last Songs headlines this programme alongside Schubert’s popular ‘Unfinished’ Symphony. The concert also features Hans Werner Henze’s vivid orchestral fantasy inspired by Schubert’s song ‘Erlkönig’ and Benjamin Britten’s arrangement of the second movement from Mahler’s Third Symphony, ‘What the Wild Flowers Tell Me’.
