Unsound 2026 opens with an immersive new production by Tianzhuo Chen and dancer-choreographer Siko Setyanto. Expanding on 2024's Ocean Cage, Moyang and Seaman explores the intersection of ancient traditions and expressive dance improvisation, drawing on the ritual language of Japanese Nō theatre while using the fluidity and expansiveness of the ocean to evoke timeless stories. With live music by Indonesian artists Kadapat and Nova Ruth, it unfolds as a mesmerising encounter between ritual, movement and sound. The event is presented in collaboration with Pavilion of Dance and Other Performing Arts, a branch of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
