From their early club gigs to international festival stages, The Brooks have established themselves as a premier groove ensemble. Formed in the early 2010s, the group focuses on artistic freedom and the collective joy of performance. Their signature sound integrates energetic rhythms, brass arrangements, and intricate keyboard and guitar work. Spanning genres like funk, soul, R&B, and afrobeat, the band features core members Alexandre Lapointe, Alan Prater, Philippe Look, and Philippe Beaudin. With multiple studio albums including their 2024 release Soon As I Can, the collective continues to evolve while honoring the deep history of Afro-American music.
