Two-day festival exploring the Black Atlantic via spiritual jazz, calypso, and experimental sounds at Public Records. Tickets on Mood.
Transatlantik returns for its second edition, offering a two-day immersion exploring the syncretic thought, spiritual traditions, and creolization of the Black Atlantic. Bringing together ancient and contemporary musical modalities from Cuba, Trinidad, Haiti, Brazil, and New York City, the program features experimental improvisation, steel pan music, kanaval traditions, and roots-to-future sounds. All ticket proceeds support Haitian Women for Haitian Refugees, providing legal clinics and essential aid to community members affected by the termination of Temporary Protection Status.
