Bouncy House-events in Amsterdam

Bouncy house is an energetic electronic dance music subgenre that emerged in the 1990s, drawing heavily from UK Garage, Scouse House, and Hard House traditions. Its signature sound is defined by a syncopated, off-beat "donk" bassline paired with a consistent 4/4 kick drum and bright, repetitive synthesizer stabs. Typically operating at a high tempo between 140 and 150 BPM, the genre prioritizes a playful, euphoric mood designed for high-intensity movement and club environments. It shares a close semantic relationship with Donk and Hard House, serving as a rhythmically buoyant and more accessible alternative to the more aggressive techno and trance sounds of the era.
