Hi Tech-events in Amsterdam

Hi-Tech is a high-velocity subgenre of Psychedelic Trance that emerged in the late 2000s, primarily evolving from the intense soundscapes of Darkpsy and Psycore. It is characterized by exceptionally fast tempos, typically ranging from 170 to over 200 beats per minute, featuring intricate, non-linear rhythmic structures and complex frequency modulation synthesis. The instrumentation relies almost exclusively on digital software, utilizing glitchy sound effects, modular bleeps, and metallic textures to create a futuristic, high-octane atmosphere. Emotionally, the genre oscillates between clinical precision and chaotic euphoria, maintaining a technical complexity that distinguishes it from more traditional, repetitive trance forms while remaining rooted in the global psychedelic outdoor festival culture.
