Hypertrance-events deze maand in Amsterdam

Hypertrance is a contemporary electronic music genre that emerged in the early 2020s as a maximalist fusion of classic trance, Eurodance, and hyperpop aesthetics. Characterized by incredibly high tempos ranging from 150 to 180 BPM, the genre utilizes aggressive supersaw leads, heavy side-chaining, and pitched-up, nightcore-style vocal processing to create an atmosphere of chaotic euphoria. It structurally inherits the long builds and melodic releases of traditional trance while adopting the digital-first, distorted production techniques common in bubblegum bass and glitchcore. This stylistic synergy results in a sound that feels simultaneously nostalgic for the turn-of-the-millennium rave scene and firmly rooted in modern internet-based microgenre culture.
