Irish Rock-concerten en liveshows in Amsterdam

Irish rock emerged during the 1960s and 1970s as a fusion of traditional Celtic folk elements and the high-energy structures of international rock and roll. The genre typically utilizes a core instrumentation of electric guitars and drums, frequently augmented by uilleann pipes, fiddles, or tin whistles to create its signature melodic textures. Its rhythmic foundation ranges from driving 4/4 beats to complex, jig-inspired patterns, supporting moods that fluctuate between rebellious defiance and poignant, melancholic nostalgia. Serving as a cultural bridge, Irish rock maintains a close semantic relationship with Celtic rock and punk while retaining a distinct focus on anthemic songwriting and themes of national identity and social history.
