Maluku music originates from the Maluku Islands of Indonesia, encompassing a diverse range of traditional vocal and instrumental forms. It often features indigenous instruments like tifa drums, totobuang (gong chimes), suling flutes, and various stringed instruments, alongside intricate vocal harmonies and storytelling. Rhythms can range from meditative to lively, supporting ceremonial dances, rituals, and daily life, often conveying themes of community, nature, and spirituality.
