Latin R&B-events in Barcelona

Latin R&B emerged in the late 2010s as a sophisticated fusion of contemporary American R&B and soul with Latin American musical traditions, specifically from Puerto Rico and Colombia. The genre is characterized by polished digital production, incorporating atmospheric synthesizers, deep sub-bass, and occasional acoustic guitar flourishes to create a nocturnal, sensual mood. Its rhythms typically feature slow to mid-tempo cadences that blend traditional R&B syncopation with subtle trap or dembow elements, prioritizing melodic smoothness over high-energy aggression. Semantically positioned as the romantic counterpart to Latin trap and reggaeton, it focuses on themes of intimacy and heartbreak, delivered through velvety Spanish-language vocals that bridge the gap between pop sensibilities and underground urban textures.
