Speed Metal-concerten en liveshows in Barcelona

Speed metal emerged in the late 1970s as a high-velocity evolution of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, blending traditional metal's melodic sensibilities with the raw intensity of hardcore punk. The genre is defined by extremely fast tempos, technical precision, and elaborate dual-guitar harmonies, often utilizing relentless double-bass drumming to drive its aggressive momentum. While it shares the blistering pace of thrash metal, speed metal typically maintains a cleaner vocal delivery and a more polished, melodic structure that eventually birthed the power metal subgenre. This high-octane style prioritizes technical proficiency and sheer velocity, creating an exhilarating, virtuosic atmosphere that bridges the gap between classic heavy metal and the more abrasive extreme metal variations.
