Brega Funk-events deze week in Berlin

Brega funk emerged from the periphery of Recife, Brazil, as a high-energy fusion of traditional brega melodies and the aggressive, syncopated rhythms of funk carioca. The genre is characterized by its heavy use of synthesizers, metallic percussion hits, and a distinctive "pancadão" beat that typically resides at a fast tempo exceeding 150 BPM. Its mood is relentlessly festive and provocative, often accompanying synchronized dance movements known as "passinho." Semantically, it represents a modern evolution of the broader brega family, distancing itself from romantic ballads through electronic production and a focus on high-impact, club-oriented playback.
