Miami Bass-events in Berlin

Miami Bass emerged in the early 1980s in Florida, evolving from electro-funk and hip-hop into a high-octane subculture focused on heavy low-end frequencies. The genre is defined by the sustained, booming kick drum of the Roland TR-808, paired with fast-paced tempos typically ranging between 120 and 130 beats per minute. Its rhythmic structure is intensely dance-oriented, featuring syncopated patterns and call-and-response vocals that often emphasize party themes or provocative lyrics. As a pivotal bridge between early electronic music and modern Southern hip-hop, Miami Bass prioritizes raw energy and club-ready grooves over melodic complexity, maintaining a distinct sonic identity through its characteristic "boom" and aggressive, trunk-rattling production style.
