Proto Hyperpop-events in Berlin

Proto-hyperpop emerged during the early 2010s as a maximalist, high-concept precursor to the modern hyperpop explosion, blending avant-garde electronic production with surrealist pop aesthetics and internet-age digital sensibilities. Primarily driven by sophisticated digital audio workstations and radical experimental sound design, the genre utilizes extreme high-pitched vocal processing, metallic FM synth textures, and aggressive dynamic range compression. Rhythmically, it employs high-energy syncopation and rapid tempos that bridge the historical gap between mainstream 2000s electro-pop and contemporary underground bubblegum bass movements. The overarching mood is defined by an ironic, candy-colored euphoria that simultaneously embraces and deconstructs pop tropes through high-fidelity, polished, yet chaotic sonic landscapes.
