Psychedelic Trance-events in Berlin

Psychedelic trance, commonly known as psytrance, emerged in the early 1990s as a high-tempo evolution of Goa trance, characterized by complex, layered synthetic melodies and driving, repetitive basslines. Typically operating between 140 and 150 BPM, the genre utilizes advanced digital synthesis and modular soundscapes to induce a hypnotic, altered state of consciousness on the dancefloor. Its sonic architecture centers on a constant 4/4 kick drum accompanied by intricate rhythmic textures, often incorporating sci-fi aesthetics and non-linear arrangements. While rooted in the electronic dance music lineage of techno and acid house, it occupies a distinct niche focused on immersive, transformative experiences and high-intensity sonic energy.
