Russian Rock-concerten en liveshows in Berlin

Russian rock emerged in the Soviet Union during the late 1960s, reaching its creative peak in the 1980s through the Leningrad Rock Club movement. Characterized by a strong emphasis on poetic, often metaphorical lyrics, the genre blends Western classic rock influences with the traditional Soviet bard song focus on social and philosophical themes. Standard instrumentation typically includes electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, and synthesizers, maintaining a raw, mid-tempo sound that favors emotional sincerity over high-gloss production. The mood is frequently melancholic or rebellious, serving as a distinct cultural bridge between underground dissent and mainstream popularity while maintaining a clear semantic lineage from post-punk and hard rock.
