Stutter House-events in Berlin

Stutter House is a contemporary sub-genre of electronic dance music that gained prominence in the early 2020s, characterized by the rhythmic chopping of vocal samples and synthesizers using tremolo and gate effects. Rooted in the UK house and garage traditions, it features a steady four-on-the-floor beat typically ranging between 124 and 128 BPM, layered with atmospheric pads and resonant basslines. The genre blends the driving energy of progressive house with an introspective, often melancholic mood, creating a nostalgic yet danceable soundscape. Its semantic identity is defined by this stuttering technique, bridging the gap between mainstream deep house and more experimental, texture-focused electronic production styles.
