Vocal House-events deze maand in Berlin

Vocal House emerged in the late 1980s as a melodic evolution of Chicago house, blending electronic dance rhythms with the powerful, soulful delivery of gospel and disco-influenced vocalists. The genre is characterized by signature four-on-the-floor kick drum patterns, typically ranging between 120 and 128 BPM, alongside prominent acoustic piano stabs, synthesized basslines, and lush organ pads. Emotionally, it leans toward euphoric positivity and spiritual uplift, bridging the gap between underground club culture and mainstream pop through accessible verse-chorus lyrical structures. While it shares technical DNA with deep house and garage, its defining feature remains the absolute dominance of the human voice as the primary melodic and rhythmic driver.
