Latin Jazz-concerten en liveshows in Boekarest

Latin jazz is a sophisticated fusion genre that emerged in the 1940s, primarily in New York City, through the intersection of American jazz harmonies and complex Afro-Cuban or Caribbean rhythmic structures. The instrumentation typically bridges a standard jazz ensemble—featuring brass, woodwinds, and piano—with a specialized percussion section including congas, timbales, and bongos. Its rhythmic foundation is defined by the underlying clave pattern, supporting highly syncopated melodies and improvisational solos that maintain a vibrant, high-energy, and danceable uptempo mood. Historically linked to Bebop and Big Band traditions, the genre serves as a critical bridge between African-derived rhythmic traditions and Western harmonic complexity, fostering a culturally rich and technically demanding performance style.
