Speedcore-events deze maand in Boekarest

Originating in the early 1990s as an extreme evolution of hardcore techno and gabber, speedcore is distinguished by its frantic tempo, typically exceeding 200 beats per minute and sometimes reaching over 1000. The instrumentation primarily features heavily distorted drum machine kicks, abrasive sawtooth synthesizers, and industrial samples, creating a dense and aggressive sonic texture. Emotionally, the genre fluctuates between overwhelming intensity and dark, satirical energy, often prioritizing shock value and endurance over conventional melody. Semantically, it occupies the most extreme end of the electronic dance music spectrum, serving as the parent genre to even faster micro-genres like splittercore and extratone while maintaining ties to breakcore.
