Acid Rock-concerten en liveshows in London

Acid rock emerged in the mid-1960s as a high-intensity derivative of psychedelic rock, characterized by its heavy use of distorted electric guitars, feedback, and long improvisational jams. Originating primarily in the San Francisco and London underground scenes, the genre features loud, driving rhythms and a raw, exploratory mood intended to simulate or enhance the experience of psychedelic substances. Instrumentation typically focuses on the power trio or quartet format, often incorporating organ and fuzzy, overdriven riffs that pushed the boundaries of traditional blues-rock. As a pivotal bridge between late-sixties psychedelia and the birth of heavy metal, acid rock prioritized volume and sonic experimentation over radio-friendly structures.
