Stomp And Holler-events in London

Emerging in the late 2000s and early 2010s, stomp and holler is a subgenre of indie folk characterized by its rhythmic, anthemic quality and high-spirited communal energy. The genre primarily features acoustic instrumentation such as banjos, mandolins, and acoustic guitars, which are heavily bolstered by resonant kick drum patterns and percussive handclaps. Vocally, the style relies on rousing, group-shouted choruses and rustic harmonies that evoke a strong sense of nostalgic togetherness and outdoor festival performance. Architecturally, it bridges the gap between traditional Americana roots and mainstream pop-rock sensibilities, often utilizing driving four-on-the-floor rhythms and dynamic orchestral builds to create high-impact, radio-friendly folk music.
